Marking a century since the Bauhaus school’s move to Dessau, the FORM A Bauhaus Edition is a stunning homage to the movement’s philosophy that form and function are inseparable. Combining sleek elegance, vibrant colour theory, and precise German engineering, this watch brings the spirit of Bauhaus to life in every detail.

Powered by the automatic J800.2 movement, this self winding watch delivers precision with a power reserve of approximately 38 hours, complemented by a practical date function.

Its black PVD-coated stainless steel case (Ø39.3 mm × 9.5 mm) is sleek and contemporary, while the flat sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating guarantees lasting clarity. The case back, printed with a Bauhaus motif, reveals glimpses of the mechanical movement through its “windows”—a playful architectural detail Max Bill himself would have admired.

Dial-wise, the FORM A Bauhaus adopts a matte black bowl-shape, deeply Bauhaus in its simplicity. Around the 12 hour-markers is a colour circle using primary and intermediate hues derived from classical colour theory—the visual colour wheel that was central to teaching at Bauhaus.The hands are neutral grey, lined with environmentally-friendly luminous material.

Finishing touches include a black PVD Milanese steel bracelet (mesh bracelet) with quick-release/safety clasp. Water resistance is to 5 bar (≈ 50 metres), making it suitable for any adventure you have in mind.
