Description

The 2003 Limited Edition Trojan Stein is an impressive 2-litre collectible inspired by an original design by renowned stein artist Peter Duemler, created around 1870. Featuring a striking bust of Ares, the Greek god of war, the stein is richly decorated with scenes from Homer’s Iliad and the legendary Trojan War. Detailed artwork depicts Paris and Helen within the walls of Troy, the Greek heroes Achilles, Agamemnon and Odysseus in battle, and the famous Trojan Horse that brought the conflict to an end. The ornate pewter lid and thumb lift, formed in the image of Hermes, add further historical character and craftsmanship.

Faithfully reproduced by King Steins, this finely hand-painted stein features a rich cobalt blue background highlighted with 24K gold accents. An original of the artwork is displayed in the British Museum, London. Limited to just 2,500 individually numbered steins worldwide, each piece includes a certificate of authenticity and historical information in both English and German.
