The clock reproduces the annual orbit of the earth around the sun, with the earth rotating on its axis every 24 hours and the moon revolving around the earth in 29.5 days while completing a full axial rotation. Over the course of each year, the earth passes all indicated zodiac signs, months, and individual days.
